Hans Swarowksy is credited as conductor but no one knows who did this. Bruckner expert John Berkey suggests Alfred Scholz conducted an unknown orchestra at an unknown date. The Nowak is the most recent edit of the Sixth so it was recorded in modern times. Scholz, a conductor of limited distinction with many recordings on inexpensive labels Wagner Collection, produced this set.
