  2. This CD was recorded live on January 28, 1970 during Karel Ančerl's tour with the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra.
A tribute to the great violinist Herman Krebbers, who at the time was the accompanist of the Concertgebouw, which has a high reputation for its excellent performance of the magnificent Beethoven!
Remastered stereo playback. Reissue of the label's masterpiece "TAHRA" by the Japanese "ALTUS" with the approval of Mrs. Miriam Sherchen and a new remastering. Valuable hard-to-get Ancerl and Concertgebouw sound sources have been revived!

    1. I have to thank you again.... I seem to be coming back to front. Vol. 1 must be the first. No doubt about that. The worst thing that can happen to an historical collector is not to have access to the booklet. I didn't know about this exchange between Altus and Miriam Scherchen. I live in Argentina and Tahra releases were impossible to get after costs and customs became difficult. To me, the information is priceless. Thank you.

    2. Dear DanseDePuck. Glad to provide you with useful information. A small addition: TAHRA is a French label founded by René Treminou and his wife Miriam Scherchen. Madame Miriam is the daughter of the conductor Herman Scherchen, she has strong family ties with great conductors. They released their first CD in 1992 and have continued to operate ever since, but in 2014 their leader Treminou passed away suddenly. The label has been forced to cut back on operations and many titles are currently hard to come by. It was a label much loved by historical fans, characterized by the production of historical sound sources in a regular and original form.
In order for the world to remember the splendor of the legacy left by TAHRA, the Japanese label ALTUS, with the approval of Ms. Miriam, officially licensed the sound source and released it with a new remastering as the ALTUS "TAHRA Revival" series.
