ReplyDeleteRonald Thomas' Vivaldi from the late 70s is truly splendid... fabulous, also because it still has the wonder of "modern" performance with modern instruments.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame not to see all of Op. 8 "Il cimento dell'armonia e dell'invenzione" here.
With the other CD posted before (Op. 8 Nos. 7-12) and these Nos. 1-4, unfortunately, No. 5, RV 253, "La tempesta di mare" and No. 6, RV 180, "Il piacere" are missing.
All of Op. 8 is in the double CD Collect... It would be nice to find them here..
