I downloaded the first volume of the Handel Concerti Grossi opus 6 conducted by Scherchen. Unfortunately, after I unarchived the rar file I got an error message that the file could not be played. And when I opened the rar file with VLC it showed the contents of the archive but could not play it. I would be happy to receive advice about how to solve this problem.
ReplyDeleteI should mention that I know these performances quite well. I bought the original Westminster disks in the 1960s and for a long time my wife and I used to listen to at least one of the concerti while having breakfast every morning. The performances are amazingly beautiful. The only performances I know that come close to them are the ones conducted by Alexander Schneider, which I heard at Carnegie Hall.
So I would be very happy if you could help me to solve the problem with the file.
