Interesting note...The Kulikovsky symphony was actually a Soviet fraud to promote early Russian music. It's actually a 20th century work written in the classical style, and promoted by the Soviets as an example of early Russian classical music. The fraud was revealed by trumpeter Timofey Dokschitzer to Mravinsky, as he recognized that the trumpet parts could not have been played on a valve-less trumpet.
