ReplyDeleteThank you for continued Eloquence.
ReplyDeleteWell, it looks like this is the last Eloquence post as there haven't been any since. And what a great album this is! I'm very grateful. After checking my library, I have 742 Eloquence albums downloaded from this site. That's a lifetime of listening. Did I miss a few? Perhaps, but there's no way to easily identify which. It's hard to get an accurate account of how many CDs have been released since 1999. Presto Music has fewer available than Thang has offered here.
ReplyDeleteFrom Eloquence: "ELOQUENCE is a label that celebrates the legacies of great artists – those acclaimed now and in their time, as well as those who have perhaps been forgotten. It is one of the most critically-acclaimed classical reissue series in the world today. It is also the longest-running of them all, founded in 1999.
"Drawing on the vast catalogues of Decca and Deutsche Grammophon, the series seeks to restore recordings buried in the deep recesses of the archives to circulation, both physically on CD, and on digital platforms. Many of these recordings have never before been reissued in these formats. The series was founded in 1999 by Cyrus Meher-Homji OAM and John Derry."
