ReplyDeleteDear Nguyen. Thank you so much for the continued release. This Live set was recorded by Karel Ančerl with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at Massey Hall, Toronto. Mozart and Beethoven (Symphony No. 8) recorded on 10 November 1968. This concert took place before Karel Ančerl's planned 1969/70 entry as music director of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. It became a mutual acquaintance. All other entries in the set were given after Ancherl officially took his place at the head of the Toronto Orchestra. Mendelssohn recorded 16/17 December 1969; Schumann - 9/10 December 1969; Beethoven (Symphony No. 6) - January 19, 1972.
